OCS Campaigns Against Illegal Cannabis

The Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) launched its educational campaign, Trailblazers, driving awareness about the benefits of purchasing cannabis from Ontario’s legal marketplace versus unregulated products in the illegal market.

Featuring licensed producers and authorized retailers, the campaign celebrates the passion of some of the people—growers, entrepreneurs, and retailers—bringing innovative, carefully curated product offerings and great customer experiences to the legal marketplace. When purchasing cannabis through Ontario’s authorized stores, adult consumers can conveniently access a wide range of tested, traceable, quality cannabis products and accessories for prices that are competitive with the illegal market.

Trailblazers runs in two flights, beginning in October and again in February 2024, and includes placements across broadcast, social, and digital out-of-home channels.

The OCS ran another public awareness campaign in July called Cannabis Made Clear which aimed at expanding cannabis literacy in another attempt to thwart the illicit market.

The OCS is committed to providing safe, responsible access to legal recreational cannabis for adults 19 and older.
