Cannabis retailers and producers along with liquor retailers have been defined as essential services for residents in BC, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec, in the context of COVID-19 response and recovery.
Other essential services include restaurants and facilities that prepare and serve food, food processing, manufacturing, storage and distribution of foods, and accommodation providers.
These businesses must adapt their services and workplace to the orders and recommendations of the Provincial Health Officer including social distancing and other health safety measures.
PEI is the only province that has closed its government-run liquor and cannabis stores.
