Continuing its trend of aggressive growth, High Tide has announced the opening of its 91st branded retail location across the country. This comes on the heels of the company’s announcement that it has just completed a deal with a retailer in Saskatchewan for five retail locations.
Earlier in July, High Tide announced that it was in talks with a Saskatchewan company that owned five retail locations in Regina, with one that is operational and four in various stages of construction. With the acquisition, High Tide’s store count increased to 90, which will only rise once the remaining four stores become operational by the end of the year. The bundle of stores was purchased for just over $2 million in High Tide shares, as well as $698,000 in cash.
Shortly after this announcement, High Tide reported that its 91st store had opened its doors in Calgary, across the street from Pacific Place mall.
“I am proud that in spite of pandemic-related challenges, and because of our team’s hard work, we have been able to continue our rapid pace of growth bringing our total store count across Canada to over ninety,” said Raj Grover, President and CEO of High Tide. “Our nationally familiar brand, and strengthened network, enables us to offer our unique one-stop shopping experience to customers across the country in markets of all sizes. We look forward to crossing the hundred store milestone in the near future.”
