With the start of a new year, CannSell is launching a new, online training module for cannabis retailers in Ontario covering edibles, extracts, and topicals.
Launched January 2, the new module focuses on the responsible sale and consumption of Cannabis 2.0 products. “The training includes basic knowledge about these new classes of cannabis, explains how consumption methods affect consumer experience, outlines recommendations for responsible use, and requirements for ensuring the responsible sale and consumption of these cannabis products,” states the AGCO in a release.
As of Jan. 2, AGCO said those who are not already CannSell certified will have to successfully complete its entire program, which now includes the new modules, prior to their first day of work.
The updated price for the CannSell program is $64.99 plus HST. AGCO estimates the entire program will take about five hours to complete.
Those who completed the CannSell certification prior to Jan. 2 will be required to take the new, one-hour module on edibles, extracts, and topicals as a standalone course by March 2. The cost is $10 plus HST.
To take the training, or for more information about the program, visit CannSell or contact customer service at 1-800-681-1593 or retailsupport@lift.co.
CannSell, the only training required to legally sell cannabis in Ontario, was developed by Lift & Co. in partnership with Mothers Against Drunk Driving Canada (MADD). It was approved by the Board of the AGCO as the mandatory cannabis retail employee training program in Ontario.
