High Tide opened its 60th Canna Cabana retail cannabis store location in Grande Prairie, Alberta on February 19, 2022. This is the brand’s 111th retail location across Canada. In November, High Tide became the first cannabis brand in Canada to surpass 100 non-franchised retail stores.
“With the opening of this Canna Cabana location, we have reached yet another store count milestone in Alberta, the province where High Tide started and where we continue to be the single largest cannabis retailer,” said Raj Grover, President and Chief Executive Officer of High Tide.
“Grande Prairie has one of the highest incomes per-capita in Alberta, with a consistently steady and stable economy. I look forward to bringing our discount club model and guaranteed low prices to even more Grande Prairians and Albertans over the coming weeks and months, including through the launch of e-commerce and delivery offerings as they will be permitted by March 8th of this year,” added Grover.
Inspired by a proven membership-based discount grocery retailer, in fall 2021 High Tide announced that all Canna Cabana retail stores will transition to a similar discount club concept, including exclusive benefits for Cabana Club members. This membership-based, discount cannabis model is the first of its kind in the industry.
The announcement of High Tide’s 60th Canna Cabana store was followed by the launch of Cannabis Delivery on Demand in select Canna Cabana retail locations across Canada.
Under the new program, customers will be guaranteed delivery of all online orders from participating stores within two hours of their order being placed, or any hourly slot chosen by the customer between 12:00 pm and 8:00 pm outside of the two hour window.
After an initial launch at select locations in Ontario, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan, High Tide intends to expand the program to cover all locations under the Canna Cabana banner across Canada, including in Alberta where private delivery is set to launch on March 8.
